The house sits in a garden at the foot of the massif of Campo dei Fiori and enjoys a beautiful view of Lake Varese. The book, a box just over six feet tall, of plan dimension of 7×12 meters, is arranged in a north-south axis parallel to the embankment of another existing building on the lot. A body used as a greenhouse glass leaning against a wall interrupted in the middle creates a link between the house and the ‘garage vane underneath the embankment. The house, the greenhouse and garage form a small courtyard entrance facing North-East and accessible by road. On the ground floor of the shape of an “L” are located the living room, kitchen, study and a utility area near the entrance. On the first floor three bedrooms have their own outputs on the terraces. The cladding of the facades is brick and the wall of the garage and the greenhouse are plastered with horizontal grooves. The roof of the building, single-pitched leaning towards the court of access, is clad in copper plates.
